As many of you will know, if you follow me on Instagram, I recently went on my travels to beautiful South Africa to visit family. My husband and I last flew long distance with our son, Rupert, when he was only 4 months old and so this time, at 14 months, I knew that we had to prepare more to keep him entertained on the flight. I packed well and used lots of tips from seasoned travellers with children (read more of those tips here)
One of the things that I was very pleased to have with me, was the CoziGo, which is a multi-functional aeroplane bassinet cover and pram sun shade cover. It was really useful on the flight for when Rupert needed a nap. It attached to the plane’s bassinet easily and helped to mimic the dark surroundings for his naps, that he’s used to at home. This was really important to me, because I wanted Rupert to cope well with the time difference and I knew that this product would reduce the aeroplane distraction to a minimum and help him to recognise the signs that it was time to sleep.
Not only was it super helpful on the flight but, once we were settled in South Africa, it doubled up as a cover over the pushchair. We used it for him to nap under, again, and also as a sun protector (it was so amazing to see some real sunshine in January!). The CoziGo is 100% breathable and permeable, so I wasn’t worried that he was going to overheat. It was super easy to use – we just popped it on and it has clips on it that made it really practical.
I was lucky enough to be gifted this product but it’s something that I have already been recommending to both clients and friends for their upcoming holidays. It is lightweight and compact so doesn’t add to your luggage and it made daytime trips a lot easier, as it helped Rupert stick to his nap routine.
